I heard trash mobs in Naxx drop nice epic and droprate is much higher than those in MC, BWL and AQ. Is that true? There were guilds who had 10man with tier1/2 set went in to kill trash mobs for tier 3 set some of course not all. Anyone know anything or heard anything about that? I know its dam expensive to get attuned. If this is true, won’t hurt to get 20man in the guild to farm it before blizzard will come out with a new mini patch to fix the droprate.
The trash mobs drop some very very nice epics. Better than items from any other instance, even most of the boss’s.
They also drop items for Tier 3 set pieces, which are quests. You need the quest item to drop, then the pieces that drop from the trash mobs, plus other items to get the tier 3 set piece.
Kym, what do you think? I think we should get attuned and give it a try just the trash mobs. If you have 2 toons or more you don’t have to get them all attuned because i know the attunement is quite expensive if you aren’t exalted with AD yet and i believe most of us aren’t.
You can try it...but your right, you would need a LOT of healing, and a LOT of heavy defense tanks. No joking around with these mobs. You pay for what you get (the drops). It would be nice to be able to go up there, but at this juncture, I would have to say gear up a bit first.
very true about paying for what you get. i’ve seen 7 decent drops (got one) and coughed up about 20g a night on average. so for 2 weeks, 4-5 nights a week ... for one drop. and then there are those who have still got nothing but have payed more.
it may be fun to peak in and see. that’s probably about it.
