I found this link on the General Forums and thought it to be much different then the way im used to doing it.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=7767643&p=1&tmp=1#post7767643

Take a look it is going the opposite direction then the way I have always gone.

Item DKP points and class'

Put up a list of drops from end game instances, as well as suggested first dib class’s / secondary class’s.

http://www.roninblades.com/itemdkp.html

Let me know what you think, either good or bad.  I’m open to all reasonable suggestions.

Raid Points System

You earn DKP when DKP is spent. This means that if someone in the raid spends 50 DKP on an NightSlayer Belt, then 50 DKP will be divided among everyone in the raid. A typical Onyxia kill will consist of two tier 2 headpieces, one or two extra epic drops, and the head of Onyxia quest item. The total DKP spent will generally be around 450 for all of those items. (Total DKP Spent) / (Total # in raid) = DKP Earned.

Assume the extra epic is a 100 DKP item. In this case it would be: (100 + 100 + 100 + 150) / (40) = 11.25 DKP earned per raid member. If every item cost the same and the same 40 people went to every raid, this would effectively cycle the items through every raid member one at a time. The reason we have different values for items is some items are better then others. This means someone doesn’t get stuck with sub-par items while other people get the best items; you pay for what you get.

If an item gets disenchanted, no points are given because no points have been spent.

Tiers
--------
We will also use a tier system to decide who gets priority on an item. Tiers work in 50 point increments.
Tier 0 = 1 - 49 DKP
Tier 1 = 50 - 99 DKP
Tier 2 = 100 - 149 DKP
Teir 3 = 150 - 200 DKP
There are also negative tiers :
Teir -0 = -1 to -49, and so on.

When an item drops that Sally, Harry, Bill, and George all want, the raid leaders will look at the accumulated points and see which players are in the highest tier. If all four are in the same tier, all four will then roll out of 1000 to see who wins the item. If Sally and Harry are in Tier 1 and Bill and George are in Tier 0, only Sally and Harry will be able to roll.

This lets the players with the most DKP have priority on an item. The reason they have the most DKP is because they’ve gone the longest without getting an item, thus they should have first rights to purchase the next item they can use. If the highest Tier players choose to pass on the item, then it goes down to the next Tier, and so on.

Tradeskill formula’s that drop will be rolled on by anyone with 300 skill in the respective trade. This person must also be very trustworthy and be online a lot. Any person winning a tradeskill item on one of our runs will be expected to do the skill for any raid member free of charge, as long as materials are provided.

Lava and Fiery Cores are worth 5 raid points per core. These cores are only released for the crafting of items. You may not use your raid points on cores to sell them.
Points for Nexus Crystals are TBD.  They will probably be around the 40-50 mark, and as with cores, you can not sell them.

Examples of DKP cost:

Belt of Might 50
Bracers of Might 50
Breastplate of Might 100
Brutality Blade 125

FULL ITEM POINT LISTING

Example MC run:

10 epics dropped… let’s say they were all worth 100 points each.
The points earned per person would be:
1000 / 40 = 25 points per person (assuming 40 in raid)

Bracers and Belts would be worth 50 points in the new system… so this means that people have to come on two runs to be able to get one of those items… and come on 4 runs for tier 2 armor items.

The main benefits of this system:

1. Eliminates 40/50 pt rule that has caused too much grief for others.
2. Keeps a Rotation effect for those that raid casually or make every raid per week. 50 points for an Arcanist crown can be acheived in 2 raids. But those with 150 pts will get first shot at it because of their Tier level and lose a decent amount of points for it to keep them in check.
3. The point values are high enough that the dedictated raiders will never generate too many points. Once a dedicated raider is almost fully equipped, we will adjust points accordingly before BWL begins if needed.
4. The point values have already been completed for us and if anything new drops, we will just decide point value based upon another relative item.

Raid Schedule:
---- --------
In order to accomodate the most players, we have tentatively come up with the following schedule. Note: all raids will be started PROMPTLY at the designated time; if you are not available, a replacement will be recruited to fill your spot. (emergencies are understandable; should something arise, you will be given preferential treatment for the next raid)

First Draft blatantly ripped off from Verity’s site : http://www.verityguild.com/drupal/?q=node/8 .  Modifications and clarifications thave begun.  Post any suggestions or comments in the forums.

UA mc weekend run

sign up here for this weekends run http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=59407&TabID=517187

it was our turn to provide a tank, but since we haven’t seen gim or any other tank this week, another guild is going to cover while we get the following week.

I just signed up, and this site is horrible to navigate through.  you need to create an account (not abnormal), then follow the link.  onthe top of the page there is another link for Characters / Settings, click on this and create a character, then return back to the linked page.
After that (more to do), click on the Manage your sign-ups link under each days event and select your character, then click save.

MC Coop Run Signup

If anyone is interested in doing a coop MC raid on Friday and Saturday (Jan 6th and 7th) at 8 PM server time, then please go to the following link and signup there.

http://www.unnamedalliance.kazorum.com

This run is with UE and a few other guilds attempting to take down a boss or two in MC. It should be good experience and the timing should help for those who cannot normally go during the week.

Come to Z’G and realise that tanking is not for mages, that rogues don’t handle aoe well and that noone lives long without group coordination.  Bring your hunters with aspect of the wild, your druids to sleep the opposition and your mages to sheep what they can, cos we are going to need it =)
